Request for approval to direct (1) Public Health Services Department to provide Commissioners Court a monthly report on the progress of the nuisance programs; (2) Public Health Services, the Sheriff’s Office, and the Fire Marshal’s Office, working in conjunction with other relevant departments, to prepare a report about how to improve efficiency and coordination in the county’s nuisance response efforts to present at the April 25, 2023 Commissioners Court; and (3) the County Attorney’s Office, in conjunction with these and any other relevant departments, to suggest revisions to update and streamline per Health and Safety Code Chapter 343, the Order Adopting Procedures for the Abatement of Neighborhood Nuisances and the Abatement and Removal of Junked Vehicles as Public Nuisances from Public Property, as approved by Harris County Commissioners Court in 1993.
