Harris County pays jurors using prepaid debit cards given out by the District Clerk's Office. Jurors have 90 days to use the card balance. Under Texas law, any money left on the cards after 90 days goes back to the county. On June 11, 2026, the Commissioners Court approved accepting $50,614.00 back into the general fund.
