Harris County Commissioner Precinct 1 asked the Harris County Sports and Convention Corporation to create at least two plans for the future of the NRG Park complex. The plans must include input from the Houston Texans and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Once finished, Harris County's budget, legal, and management offices will review the plans. This policy passed the Commissioners Court on October 10, 2023.
