Harris County reduced contracted sheriff's deputy coverage for Oak Creek Village by one position, effective June 11, 2026.
On June 11, 2026, Harris County Commissioners Court approved a change to its contract with Oak Creek Village Community Association, Inc. The update removes one Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy from the neighborhood's paid patrol coverage. Oak Creek Village is a residential subdivision in northwest Harris County. Harris County's Contract Patrol Program lets communities pay for extra law enforcement beyond standard county services. Questions can be sent to Tebben.Lewis@sheriff.hctx.net.
This changes how many paid sheriff deputies patrol Oak Creek Village. Neighbors in or near that subdivision may notice a shift in patrol presence. Anyone using the Contract Patrol Program could see similar changes affect their area.
