Harris County moves five public health positions to a new grant program, effective June 13, 2026.
Harris County Commissioners Court approved this grant staffing change on June 11, 2026. Five public health positions are moving to the Public Health Infrastructure, Workforce, and Data Systems grant program. Four positions come from the COVID Infectious Disease Control Unit grant and one from the Embrace HOPE grant. The change takes effect June 13, 2026.
