Harris County Commissioners Court approved an amendment to continue HIV prevention and care services through The Montrose Center. This contract supports the Ryan White Program Part A Minority AIDS Initiative and Ending the HIV Epidemic Services from March 2026 to February 2027. The Montrose Center provides critical HIV testing, treatment, and support services to our community. This matters because HIV disproportionately affects certain communities in Harris County, particularly people of color and LGBTQ+ residents. The Ryan White Program helps people living with HIV access life-saving medical care, medications, and support services regardless of their ability to pay. The contract amendment adds advance payment provisions and updates data management requirements to better serve patients. These services impact neighborhoods across Harris County by providing accessible HIV care, reducing transmission rates, and supporting community health.
