A new law aims to help the Veterans Health Administration prepare for and offer new medical treatments to veterans.
Congress is working on a new law called Senate Bill 4220, or the Veterans Health Administration Novel Therapeutics Preparedness Act. Veterans who served our country deserve access to the best and newest health care available.
New medical treatments are being discovered all the time. These might include new medicines, new procedures, or new ways to help veterans heal. The Veterans Health Administration needs to be prepared to offer these treatments quickly and safely when they become available.
Senate Bill 4220 gives the Veterans Health Administration the tools and guidance it needs to bring new treatments to veterans.
