Free college prep program helping Houston students with test prep, college applications, and STEM activities at four east side schools.
TRIO Talent Search is a federal program that helps Houston students prepare for college and careers. We serve students at Milby and Chavez High Schools plus Deady and Navarro Middle Schools on the east side of Houston. Our program removes barriers that keep families from higher education.
We provide free SAT and ACT test prep classes so students can earn better scores. Our counselors help fill out college applications and FAFSA forms for financial aid. Students join after-school STEM programs that build skills in science, technology, engineering, and math.
We organize college tours so students can see what campus life looks like. Our program serves first-generation college students and families with low income. These are the students who often have the most talent but face the biggest challenges.
When one student goes to college, it changes their whole family's future. Our community gets stronger when more young people have pathways to good jobs and careers. The program is completely free because it's funded by the U.
S. Department of Education. Students can join anytime during the school year.
Parents and students can talk to counselors at their school or contact the LULAC Houston office directly to learn more about services.
Advances civil rights and educational opportunity for Houston's Latino community through advocacy and scholarship programs.
