JFS Alexander Institute for Inclusion receives Diversity in Business Award from Houston Business Journal

The Houston Business Journal named Alexander Jewish Family Service among 31 Houston organizations recognized for commitment to diversity and inclusion in 2023. The JFS Alexander Institute for Inclusion was created to support people with disabilities in workplaces, faith communities, and schools. The Institute works to lower stigmas and increase access through direct service, education, arts, and advocacy.

Published: Thursday, April 6, 2023 This year, 36 individuals and 31 organizations across Houston have been recognized by the Houston Business Journal for showing exceptional commitment to promoting practices that  advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The Alexander Jewish Family Service was among those recognized. The JFS Houston Alexander Institute for Inclusion was established as a response to the experiences that individuals with disabilities faced in the workplace, places of faith, organizations and academia. The Institute shines a light on the lives and aspirations of individuals with disabilities in our city and beyond.
