June is Pride Month in Houston, and there is a lot going on. From a family-friendly festival in Brazoria County to an Astros home game to a downtown parade, the Houston area has events for every kind of neighbor. The month wraps up June 28 with the 47th Annual Houston Pride Festival and Parade hosted by Pride Houston 365.
Houston Public Media put together a list of Pride Month events across the region. Here is a quick look at what is planned: a family-friendly festival at MacLean Park in Brazoria County on June 7; drag bingo in Katy on June 7 benefiting a free clothing boutique for trans youth; a film double feature at the DeLUXE Theatre on June 8; Houston Astros Pride Night on June 10; Houston Dash Pride Night on June 13; a fundraiser in Galveston on June 14 supporting HIV/AIDS treatment through Access Care of Coastal Texas; a Grand Marshal Reception at the Montrose Country Club on June 15; a fashion show at Warehouse Live on June 25; and the 47th Annual Houston Pride Festival and Parade on June 28. The June 28 festival runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Houston City Hall, and the parade begins at 7 p.m. starting on Smith Street near the Houston Public Library. Later in the year, Galveston hosts events in August and Katy holds its own celebration in October.
Use this list to pick the events that fit your schedule, your interests, and your budget. Some events are free. Others have ticketed options at different price levels. Check admission details before you go, and plan ahead for events that require an RSVP or ticket purchase. If you have family with you, look for events marked as open to all ages, like the Brazoria County Pride Festival. For the June 28 parade, the route runs along Smith Street, Walker Street, and Milam Street, ending near Pease Street, so you can plan where to stand ahead of time.
Throughout June 2025, with additional events in August and October 2025
Houston area, including downtown Houston, Katy, Galveston, and Brazoria County
Several of these events support local nonprofits. The Live in Color Pride Bingo in Katy raises money for the Transparent Closet, which gives free clothes to transgender youth. The GIFT Pride Live fundraiser in Galveston supports Access Care of Coastal Texas, which focuses on HIV/AIDS (human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) treatment and prevention. The 47th Annual Houston Pride Festival is hosted by Pride Houston 365, the longtime organizer of Houston's downtown Pride celebration. The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce hosts a fall event at Discovery Green in partnership with Houston City Council Member Abbie Kamin.
Pride Month is a time for Houston's LGBTQ+ community and its allies to celebrate, connect, and support one another. These events also raise money for causes like HIV/AIDS care and free clothing for transgender youth. Whether you want to attend a parade, catch a soccer game, or find community resources, there is something here for you.
