Our CommunityCatholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston
The Parish Relations Office at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston helps parishes across the 10-county Archdiocese put their faith into action. Whether your parish wants training, presentations, or volunteer connections, this office is your starting point.
The office offers several ways for parishes to get involved. Staff will visit your parish to talk with clergy and leaders about partnership opportunities. They can give presentations about Catholic Charities programs or set up an information table at parish events. A Parish Social Ministry (PSM) Certificate Program is open to clergy, staff, volunteers, ministry leaders, and pastoral council members who want deeper training. The office also helps coordinate volunteer opportunities and participation in events like Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops' Advocacy Day and the kNOw Poverty Summit.
Start by reaching out to Rhonda Sepulveda — she can walk you through the right fit for your parish. From there, you can request a parish visit, invite a presenter, enroll leaders in the certificate program, or connect your volunteer group with service opportunities. No parish is too small or too busy to find a way in.
