Blue Ridge Park is a free, 296-acre youth soccer complex in the Houston area with four regulation fields, a lit practice field, a playground, a pavilion, and a connection to the Sims Bayou Greenway. When the Shadow Creek Soccer Club is not using the fields, they are open to the public for youth soccer.
The park includes four regulation youth soccer fields, a lit practice field, a playground, restrooms, water fountains, benches, picnic tables, a covered pavilion, and 70 permeable parking spaces. The fields are managed by the Shadow Creek Soccer Club but are open to the public for youth soccer when the club is not running its own programs or doing maintenance.
Check the park rules before you go so your visit goes smoothly. Fields are free to use during public hours — just show up when the Shadow Creek Soccer Club is not scheduled. Use the Sims Bayou Greenway connection to arrive by foot or bike. Follow park guidelines: keep pets leashed, clean up after them, use designated grills for cooking, pack out your trash, and leave glass containers at home. Alcohol and fireworks require a permit. Overnight parking is not allowed.
Open Monday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Field access for the public follows daytime hours. Summer hours (March through October): 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Winter hours (November through February): 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Blue Ridge Park connects directly to the Sims Bayou Greenway, giving walkers, joggers, and cyclists an easy route to and from the park. Families interested in other Harris County parks and green spaces may find similar opportunities along the Greenway corridor.
Getting kids outside and active is easier when the space is free and well-equipped. Blue Ridge Park gives youth soccer players room to practice on real regulation fields with LED lighting. The park also doubles as a flood mitigation area, so your visit supports the broader neighborhood too. It was built through a partnership between Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis's office and the Qatar Harvey Fund.
