The Salvation Army Greater Houston Area Command is the local arm of The Salvation Army (Southern Territory) providing social services across the Houston region from about 17 locations. It offers emergency shelter and transitional housing, disaster relief, rent/utility and basic-needs assistance, youth and senior programs, rehabilitation, and seasonal Christmas assistance.
Corps Community Centers are neighborhood community centers, such as those in Pasadena and Temple, offering worship, social services, and programming across the region. They are operated by The Salvation Army, a United Way of Greater Houston partner organization.
