Houston parks shine brightest when neighbors gather in them. These free programs give you a reason to get outside, move your body, spark your kids' creativity, or simply find a calm moment in the middle of a busy week. Whether you are eight or eighty, a first-timer or a regular, there is something here for you.
Every program at the Event Pavilion is free. Bollywood and Bhangra Fitness Dance is a full-body cardio workout set to upbeat South Asian music, welcoming all fitness levels. Tai Chi and Meditation, led by Taoist Healing, uses slow, gentle movements to help you de-stress and sharpen focus — great for beginners and those managing joint concerns. Young Audiences of Houston (YAH) presents 60- to 90-minute interactive art workshops and performances spanning dance, theater, music, visual arts, and literary arts. Zumba with Tiny Fitness is an hour-long dance workout mixing salsa, hip hop, samba, bhangra, and more.
