A 10-year initiative planting native Super Tree species along 25 miles of the Houston Ship Channel.
The Houston Ship Channel TREES Program is a 10-year collaborative effort focused on strengthening ecosystem services through targeted large-scale plantings of native Super Tree species along 25 miles of the Houston Ship Channel. These native trees improve air quality, reduce heat, and manage stormwater. When we show up together, our community becomes more connected, more resilient, and more powerful.
Connects 1,800+ square miles of green infrastructure across the Gulf Coast through conservation, education, and regional collaboration.
