Westador Stormwater Basin Contract Approved by Harris County

Harris County Commissioners Court approved an $11.3 million contract with DL Glover Clearing, LLC to build the Westador Stormwater Detention Basin. This is a major flood control project managed by the Harris County Flood Control District. The basin will collect and hold rainwater during heavy storms, reducing flooding in nearby neighborhoods. This matters because Houston faces serious flooding risks from hurricanes and heavy rains. When water has nowhere to go, our streets, homes, and businesses flood.
