Harris County's Housing and Community Development department submitted an amendment to extend its agreement with the Texas General Land Office (GLO) through February 28, 2027. The amendment applies to the FY 2017 CDBG-DR Hurricane Harvey Round One Funding Program. The item was introduced to the Commissioners Court on September 10, 2026, as File 26-6316.
This extension keeps Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery funds active until Feb 2027. If the deadline had passed, unspent money could be returned and local housing recovery work could stop.
