Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on July 9, 2026 on a contract amendment with Freeit Data Solutions, Inc., an Austin-based IT company. The amendment corrects the terms of an existing State of Texas DIR cooperative contract for hardware, software, and support services. It does not increase the total contract amount. The agreement covers Harris County for five years, from October 8, 2024 through October 7, 2029. Contact Summer.Turner@pur.hctx.net with questions.
Harris County uses technology systems that store and process public data. This vote changes the written terms of a county IT contract, which affects how the county manages hardware, software, and support services through 2029.
