Harris County Commissioners Court is set to vote on July 9, 2026 on a deal that would bring free legal education workshops to Precinct 4 community centers and events. Lone Star Legal Aid, a Houston-based nonprofit, would lead the workshops at no cost to the county or residents. Topics include housing, family law, public benefits, and consumer issues. Precinct 4's 10 community centers serve more than 700,000 visitors each year across north Harris County.

If approved, free legal workshops could appear at Precinct 4 community centers near you. No county tax dollars are used. Residents in north Harris County may have access to legal information on housing, family, and other topics.
