Harris County Commissioners Court is considering a request to let Harris County Public Library (HCPL) spend up to $50,000 in fiscal year 2027 (October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027). The money would cover event registration fees and food and beverages at community outreach events, staff training, and official meetings. HCPL runs 26 branches and mobile outreach vehicles, attending festivals, farmers markets, and community centers to connect Harris County residents with library services.
