Harris County Commissioners Court is reviewing a request to renew an agreement with Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District. The agreement would fund eight Youth Service Specialists from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The school district would reimburse the county $45,469 per specialist each year, covering half of the personnel and mileage costs for each position.
Harris County may renew a cost-sharing deal with Goose Creek CISD that keeps eight Youth Service Specialists working in the district. Residents near those schools could see these staff continue their work for another year.
