Harris County may hire a Houston law firm to guide its participation in four City of Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones.
Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on July 9, 2026, on whether to hire Houston law firm Allen Boone Humphries Robinson LLP to help the county take part in four City of Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZs #2, #18, #26, and #28). TIRZs are special zones that set aside new property tax revenue to pay for public improvements and redevelopment. The agreement was introduced June 25, 2026.
