On May 28, 2026, Harris County Commissioners Court approved a two-year extension of its agreement with Houston Sport Flyers, an AMA-chartered nonprofit club. The club runs the Schiveley R/C Airfield at 13939 Kuykendahl Road in Spring, TX, on county-owned land. The field is open dawn to dusk and welcomes RC planes, helicopters, and FPV drones. Members must hold both club and AMA membership. The extension runs through June 1, 2028.
