Harris County Commissioners Court will consider a July 9, 2026 agenda item asking the County Judge to sign an amendment cutting $1,500,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds from a contract with Rebuilding Together Houston. That nonprofit provides free home repairs to low-income homeowners, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities across Harris County. The funding reduction covers the contract period of November 12 through December 31, 2026.
