Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on July 9, 2026, on whether to move $150,000 in general funds to District Courts Administration. The money would support the Courtroom Peer Support Expansion Pilot, which places trained peer support workers inside Harris County district courtrooms. These workers have lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges and help connect people in the court system to community services.
