Harris County approved staffing, equipment, and patrol contracts for Constable Precinct 2 to serve east Harris County communities.
Harris County Commissioners Court approved this item (file 25-5091) on August 26, 2025. It lets Constable Precinct 2, which serves east Harris County, fill staff positions, get equipment, and offer vehicle allowances. It also renews and updates contracts with homeowners associations, civic groups, and other organizations for dedicated neighborhood patrols. Costs for these contract deputy services are split between the county and each partner group.
