Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on July 9, 2026 on an interlocal agreement between the Harris County Housing Finance Corporation and the Harris County Flood Control District. The agreement covers site preparation at the Eastex Project — a 5.46-acre property at 0 Eastex Freeway in northeast Houston (Precinct 1). The site is planned for at least 220 mixed-income affordable rental units. The Flood Control District is performing the site work at no direct cost to the county.
