Harris County Extends Healthcare Services at Bayland Community Center

Harris County Commissioners Court approved additional funding for healthcare services at the Bayland Community Center in Precinct 4. This contract amendment adds $100,000 to an existing agreement with Baylor College of Medicine to provide clinical services from October 2025 through September 2026. The Bayland Community Center serves residents in northwest Harris County, offering healthcare access in a community setting. This extension means local families can continue receiving medical care close to home instead of traveling to distant hospitals or clinics. Community-based healthcare removes barriers like transportation and long wait times that often prevent people from getting needed care. These services typically include routine checkups, preventive care, health screenings, and basic treatments. For families without regular doctors or health insurance, community health services provide essential medical support. The Bayland location makes healthcare accessible to residents in Cypress, northwest Houston, and surrounding areas.
