Overview
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children provides free healthy food, nutrition counseling, and breastfeeding support for pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5 in Texas. Benefits are loaded onto an EBT card accepted at most grocery stores. Income eligibility is up to 185% of the federal poverty level. WIC also connects families to other health and social services. Apply at any Texas WIC clinic — over 30 locations in the Houston area. Available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
