Schiveley Radio Controlled Flying Field is a Harris County park set aside just for radio-controlled (RC) aircraft and helicopters. It is run by Houston Sport Flyers, and only club members can fly here. If you love RC aviation, this is your spot.
The airfield is named after Dick Schiveley and is operated by Houston Sport Flyers. Only paid members of the club may operate RC aircraft or helicopters at the field. Standard Harris County park rules are in effect: no alcohol, no fireworks, no glass containers, pets on leash, and no motorized vehicles on grass or trails. Park in designated lots — overnight vehicles may be towed.
To fly here, you need to join Houston Sport Flyers first. Once you are a member, arrive during park hours (8:00 am – 6:00 pm), follow the posted field rules, and be mindful of noise levels out of respect for fellow park visitors. Non-flying visitors are welcome to watch, but only club members may operate aircraft.
