"Texas Children's offers specialized pediatric care across a wide range of conditions — from cardiology and oncology to behavioral health and rare diseases. This resource helps referring physicians connect patients to the right team quickly, with clear pathways for routine referrals, urgent admits, and emergency transport."
Texas Children's helps doctors and health professionals refer, admit, or transfer patients. Referrals can be submitted online or by PDF form for more than 70 departments, including cardiology, neurology, oncology, and behavioral health. Physicians can admit patients by calling 877-770-5550 or through campus direct admit lines. The Kangaroo Crew team handles transport of premature infants and children with serious conditions. Emergency services at a Texas Children’s Hospital emergency department does not require any prior authorization or pre-treatment agreement.
