"This park has deep roots in Houston history. It's named after Annette Finnigan, who donated the land specifically to give Black Houston residents a greenspace. Today it's still a community hub — a partnership between Harris County, the City of Houston, and HISD keeps it running as a place for recreation, education, and gathering. The YET Center was built with NFL funds after Houston hosted the 2004 Super Bowl."
