Topic: Eisenhower Park closure and rulesStatus: Closed until further noticeSource: City of Houston ParksReading time: Under 1 minuteKey Rule: No alcohol, fires, fireworks, glass, or motorized vehicles on trails without permits
Eisenhower Park at 13400 Aqueduct Rd is temporarily closed until further notice. When it reopens, it's a great outdoor spot to enjoy with family and pets — as long as you follow a few straightforward park rules.
Eisenhower Park is currently closed with no reopening date announced. When it does reopen, visitors are expected to follow Harris County park rules. Alcohol, fireworks, and hunting are allowed only with a permit. Open fires are not permitted — use designated camp stoves or grills instead. Glass containers, littering, and motorized vehicles on trails or grass are all prohibited. Pets are welcome on a leash, and waste must be picked up and placed in a trash bin. Overnight parking is not allowed — vehicles left after hours may be towed. Metal detectors require a contract with Harris County.
Check back with Harris County Precinct 1 (HCP1) for updates on when the park will reopen. Before your visit, review the rules so your outing goes smoothly. If you plan to bring alcohol, use fireworks, or go hunting, look into the permit process through Harris County ahead of time. Bring a leash for your pet and pack out any trash you bring in.
No fixed date — the park is closed until further notice
