Emergency generators are a critical part of keeping county buildings running during power outages. This amendment makes sure GenServe can keep up with maintenance, inspections, repairs, and rentals of those generators for another year. Without reliable backup power, county services could be disrupted during storms or emergencies.
This is a contract amendment — not a new contract. Harris County already works with GenServe, LLC for generator services. This vote would approve $1,000,000 in additional funding to continue that work.
Services covered include preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and emergency generator rentals for county facilities.
