Downtown Houston is the largest employment center in the region and the district works to keep it safe, clean, and welcoming for the hundreds of thousands of workers, residents, and visitors who come downtown every day.
The Houston Downtown Management District enhances downtown Houston through public safety, cleaning, landscaping, marketing, and infrastructure improvements. Funded by a special assessment on commercial properties, the district works to make downtown welcoming, safe, and economically vibrant for workers, residents, and visitors. Board meetings are open to the public and cover district programs, budgets, and capital projects.
