Getting there
The Montrose Center, Houston. Contact the center at (713) 529-0037 to confirm the exact address and meeting room.
Finding people who understand your experience can make a real difference. These groups mix social time, educational topics, and small-group talk so you can build friendships, meet role models, and celebrate who you are — all at no cost.
Three age-based groups meet regularly. Hatch Jr. is for ages 7–12; a parent or guardian must stay on-site during meetings and can join a PFLAG Houston (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) meeting nearby. Hatch Youth is for ages 13–17. Hatched Out is for young adults ages 18–24. Special events — including Hatch Prom and marching in the Pride Houston 365 Parade — are part of the calendar too. All activities are completely free. Note: these groups are peer support, not therapy. If you need professional counseling, the Montrose Center can help connect you with those services.
