LISC Houston is the local office of the national Local Initiatives Support Corporation, one of the country's largest community development organizations. It advances equitable community development in Greater Houston by providing capital, technical assistance, grants, and training to create affordable housing, build community facilities, support small businesses, and move low-to-moderate-income residents toward financial stability. It takes a human-centered, community-centered approach to building healthy, resilient neighborhoods.
Health Access Fund from LISC Houston, a United Way of Greater Houston partner, in partnership with Uber provides grants to help nonprofit healthcare providers connect economically vulnerable people to transportation for vital health services. Available via grant announcements.
