We will show what we know and where it came from.
IM Houston helps refugee families fleeing persecution build new lives in our city through job training, education, and support toward citizenship.
3303 Main St, Houston, TX 77002 — volunteer opportunities are based at this headquarters or at refugees' homes, primarily in Southwest Houston.
Hundreds of refugee families arrive in Houston each year after fleeing political, social, or religious persecution. They bring skills, drive, and culture that make our city stronger. IM Houston gives them the tools to meet basic needs first, then grow toward full independence. More than 90% of clients become self-sufficient within six months. When new neighbors thrive, all of Houston benefits.
For over 60 years, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston has brought people of diverse faith traditions together for dialogue, collaboration, and service to the most vulnerable in our community. IM Houston operates Texas's largest Meals on Wheels program (delivering 1.5 million meals annually to 4,300+ homebound seniors), resettles refugees from 40+ countries, coordinates thousands of disaster and community volunteers through Volunteer Houston, and fosters interfaith understanding through dialogue programs, youth leadership, and cultural exchange.
The Resource Center maps the services, programs, and benefits across the city — and the people behind them.
