IM Houston has resettled refugees from over 40 countries for 30+ years.
Over 90% of refugee clients become self-sufficient within a year through comprehensive support that includes everything from initial housing to citizenship guidance.
IM Houston provides complete resettlement support for refugee families, covering housing and basic needs when they first arrive, cultural orientation to help them navigate their new community, job training and employment connections, and legal services to help them become U.S. citizens.
The organization works directly with the U.S. State Department and has been doing this work for over three decades.

IM Houston offers direct services to refugees and also welcomes volunteers who want to serve as family mentors, employment guides, translators, or case management support. The organization currently serves more Afghan refugees than any other local Houston agency.
