Harris County's $33.5M program brings road repairs, flood protection, and safety improvements to Alief, Sharpstown, and Westchase neighborhoods.
Commissioner Lesley Briones announced an additional $33.5 million in infrastructure investments spanning across Alief, Sharpstown, Westchase and surrounding neighborhoods. The 2025 Places 4 People projects support public safety, by improving roadways, and flood resiliency for the community.
These projects mark the next chapter in a program that was launched in 2023 and has awarded a total $252.4 million across 59 projects, in partnership with 28 local organizations.
Places 4 People is a collaborative infrastructure program to improve neighborhood public safety, drainage, roadway conditions, and community connections through partnerships.
