Gulf Coast Community Services Association operates Head Start and Early Head Start programs providing free, comprehensive early childhood education for children from birth to age 5 in low-income Houston families. Programs include preschool education, health screenings, dental care, nutritious meals, family support services, and disability services. Parents are actively involved in program governance. Over 6,000 children are served annually across Harris County. Applications accepted year-round.
