Raising Houston
The Harris County Department of Education board of trustees meets monthly to oversee shared services supporting 25 school districts in Harris County. The elected board reviews special education programs, adult education, technology support, and school safety initiatives that serve hundreds of thousands of students. Meetings are open to the public and parents, educators, and community members can attend to comment on educational programs and budget priorities.
