Staying Well
CAN DO Houston developed the first Healthy Corner Store Network in Houston and Harris County, piloted in the Sunnyside community in 2013 based on direct input from residents. The program partners with local produce vendors to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables to corner stores on a weekly basis. SNAP benefits are accepted.
