When someone has a heart attack, having a defibrillator nearby can save their life. Harris County is putting more of these life-saving devices in parks, buildings, and places families visit so help is available faster during emergencies.
More county buildings, parks, and facilities will have life-saving defibrillators. County workers will get training to help during heart emergencies before paramedics arrive.
Fewer defibrillators would be available in county facilities. Response times during heart emergencies might be longer in some public places.
