Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration administers three major programs that provide financial protection to millions of Americans. Social Security retirement benefits provide income to retired workers and their families. Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) provides benefits to workers who become disabled. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) provides monthly payments to people with limited income who are 65 or older, blind, or disabled.
