About Houston-Galveston Area Council
The Houston-Galveston Area Council is the regional planning organization for the 13-county Gulf Coast region. H-GAC coordinates regional transportation planning, environmental quality, workforce development, homeland security, and community development. Board and committee meetings are open to the public and cover regional policy decisions affecting transportation investments, air quality, and growth management across the Houston area.
