The FIGHT Toolkit is a comprehensive resource created by Gen-Z for Change to help people support immigrant communities and fight harmful immigration policies. This national toolkit provides three main ways to take action: funding rapid-response groups that provide emergency alerts and legal support during ICE activity, learning your rights through clear guides developed with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, and engaging in voter registration and corporate accountability efforts. The toolkit focuses on protecting immigrants from intimidation and providing practical support during enforcement actions. For Houston residents, this matters because our city has one of the largest immigrant populations in Texas, with vibrant communities from Latin America, Asia, and Africa who contribute to our economy and culture. Harris County also sees regular ICE enforcement activity that affects our neighbors, coworkers, and local businesses. The toolkit helps us build stronger, more supportive communities by providing tools to respond quickly when enforcement happens and ensuring everyone knows their basic rights. Currently, the federal government is spending millions of your taxpayer dollars to put federal agents up in hotels across Minnesota to abduct our immigrant community members. Let us be very clear: they’re not welcome here. That’s why we made an easy-to-use tool to demand that hotels refuse to house ICE agents. By adding our shortcut to your phone, you’ll automatically send emails to the managers and executives of major hotel chains, including Marriott, IHG, and Hilton, and the allegedly involved branch locations in the Minneapolis area.
