Step 1: Check the agenda online at houstontx.gov/council. Step 2: Arrive 30 minutes early at 901 Bagby Street, Downtown Houston.
Step 3: Sign up at the speaker registration sheet at the council chamber entrance. Step 4: When your name is called, walk to the microphone and state your name and Houston address. Step 5: You have two minutes — speak clearly and be specific.
Name the agenda item or general topic you are addressing. Step 6: Council members may ask follow-up questions. Step 7: Council meets most Tuesdays.
