Triple Crown Celebration

Join us in honoring Lydia Kavraki (

) and Rebecca Richards-Kortum (

), two scholars whose careers exemplify the highest ideals of research, innovation, mentorship and service. Through groundbreaking discoveries, commitment to students, and work that has improved lives around the world, they have advanced their fields and inspired the next generation of researchers, engineers and scientists. They are also the only two researchers in Texas elected to all three National Academies, an extraordinary distinction held by fewer than 35 living researchers nationwide. The program will feature reflections from university leadership, perspectives from colleagues, and a conversation with the honorees on the work, values and experiences that have shaped their remarkable careers.
