Trees for Houston brings neighbors together to plant trees across our city every month. These volunteer events happen in neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces throughout Houston. We provide all the tools, trees, and training you need.
No experience required - just show up ready to dig in with your community. Houston loses thousands of trees each year to storms, disease, and development. These volunteer days help rebuild our tree canopy.
Trees cool our neighborhoods by up to 15 degrees in summer. They clean our air, reduce flooding, and make our streets safer and more beautiful. When Hurricane Harvey hit, areas with more trees had less flooding damage.
Our urban forest protects us and saves us money on energy bills. Each tree planted can save Houston families $200 per year in cooling costs. These events connect neighbors who might not otherwise meet.
Kids learn about nature while adults build community bonds. Trees for Houston has planted over one million trees since starting. That means cleaner air for our children and cooler sidewalks for everyone.
